Getting There
Carrigtwohill is located 15 kilometres to the East of Cork city on the N25 road and adjacent to all the main arteries running north, south, east and west. Barryscourt Castle is situated on the southern side of the N25. Travelling East from Cork city, the exit for the castle is the 3rd exit after the Dunkettle Roundabout (adjacent to the Jack Lynch Tunnel). Travelling from the Waterford/ Wexford direction on the N25, the exit is 10 kilometres west of Midleton. Traffic directions will be clearly marked. Carrigtwohill is an easy location to access from anywhere in Cork city, county and nationwide.
Carrigtwohill is also covered with an extensive bus service, www.buseireann.ie on route 261 from Cork to Midleton, with connections also to Youghal, Whitegate, Cloyne, Ballycotton and Ardmore.
A direct 15 minute rail link from Cork city to Carrigtwohill Railway Station is in operation. Bus transfers will operate to and from Carrigtwohill Railway Station and Barryscourt Castle for the duration of the festival. www.irishrail.ie
